G. MAINTENANCE AND CARE

1. OUTER SHELL

Water and pH-neutral soapsuds can be used to clean and care for the outer shell of the
helmet.
Note:
Direct contact with auto fuel, thinners and solvents can cause structural damage to
the helmet's inner and outer shells. The helmet must not come in contact with these
substances, even for cleaning purposes, as they can cause severe damages (in some
cases not outwardly visible) that may degrade the helmet's ability to offer the full
protective function.
2. VISOR AND SUN VISOR
To remove soiling on the outside of the visor, it is recommended that a soft cloth and
lukewarm soapy water (< 20 °C) be used. For drying, a lint-free cloth should be rubbed
gently on the visor.
Warning:
Under no circumstances should petrol, solvents, window or glass cleaners or other
cleaners with alcohol as an ingredient be used to clean the visor/sun visor, as these
substances can cause medical damages to the visors. The visor may not be exposed
to those vapours or come in contact with those substances!

3. INNER LINING

The head and cheek pads can be washed by hand with mild soapy water (such as using
a heavily diluted off-the-shelf hand wash detergent) at max. 30 °C. Allow the moist inner
lining to dry thoroughly at room temperature and with good ventilation.
Note:
Do not reinstall the Internal ElementsInternal Elements until fully dry.

4. VENTILATION

Where needed, the ventilation regulator portion of the head aeration system can be
removed and the ventilation mechanism can be cleaned.
1. Move the ventilation regulator completely to the rear.
2. Grasp the lower edge of the ventilation regulator and
loosen it by making a levering motion toward the top.
3. Clean the ventilation regulator and mechanism.
4. The pin in the ventilation regulator fits perfectly
into the connector system on the ventilation
mechanism; there should be a distinct audible click
when re-installing the ventilation regulator.

5. STORAGE

The helmet should be stored in the helmet bag (included with delivery) in a dry,
well-ventilated and stable place.
Note:
Store the helmet out of reach of children and animals. Furthermore the helmet should
always be stored so that it cannot fall on the floor. Damages arising in this manner are
not covered under the warranty.
