Introduction
The BO 209 MONSUN is a model of a fast two-seater light aircraft designed for sport
and cruising; it is also approved for aerobatics.
At the design stage we placed particular emphasis on low take-off weight, and this is
reflected in the model's excellent performance and flight handling. The BO 209
MONSUN's flying characteristics are nicely balanced, making it an excellent choice
as a first "full-house" model, i.e. with aileron, rudder and elevator flying controls, and
the aeroplane is also capable of simple aerobatic manoeuvres. The model is primarily
of balsa construction, with plywood reinforcements at highly stressed areas.
The fuselage, wing panels, rudder and tailplane are supplied ready-built, and covered
in multi-colour iron-on film. To complete the model the builder is required to carry out
very little work, which includes fitting the fin and tailplane, installing the motor mount
and motor, undercarriage, receiving system and control surface linkages.
A four-function radio control system is sufficient to fly the model.
Caution: this model is not a toy!
If you are a beginner to this type of powered model, please ask an experienced
model flyer for help and support. If you attempt to operate the model without knowing
what you are doing, you could easily injure yourself or somebody else. Please keep
your safety and well-being in mind at all times.
