7. Help with faults
7.1 General

Faults generally only occur when the
mower has not been handled, cared
for or maintained properly. The follo-
wing table lists the most frequent faults
and how to deal with them. If other
faults occur, you should contact the
nearest after-sales service centre or
dealer authorised by the manufacturer.

Possible cause
Loose screws on motor,
fasteners or cutter housing
Foreign body blocking aerator roller
Slipping V-belt
Cutter bar or cutter damaged
(balance error), cutter bar fastener
at motor shaft loose
Ground soaked through,
lawn too wet
Rotary knob at position 0
V-belt torn
Blades too blunt,
cutting height too low
or specialist authorised by Brill.
This shall also apply to extra parts
and accessories.
Remedy
Tighten screws.
Switch aerator roller off,
remove foreign body.
Contact specialist repairer/after-sales.
Tighten screws for cutter and cutter bar.
Ask after-sales to replace
damaged parts.
Allow lawn to dry, do not use
mower on wet grass.
Switch off motor and set to position 1.
V-belt must be replaced
by specialist repairer.
Replace or turn blade
Set cutting height slightly higher.
