Important assembly instructions:
IMPORTANT: The installation of the cable for system
traversable,
as well as the self-pressing of end terminals and tensioning elements
may only be carried out by authorised persons trained by the manufacturer and in
possession of a corresponding training certificate! Special tools are required.
The assembly of the systems
qualified installation personnel using the mounting materials supplied by the
manufacturer in accordance with the assembly and operating instructions! The
assembly must be subjected to a proper inspection!
All components must be checked for completeness and integrity prior to assembly.
All specified tightening torques must be applied with a tested torque wrench.
The anchor device must be installed and used in such a way that the guiding
mechanism does not come into contact with a sharp edge or any other objects which
can damage the guiding mechanism due to its deflection during a fall-arrest incident.
The lifeline system must be integrated into the lightning protection system (potential
equalization) according to the national lightning protection regulations. Use as an air
termination rod is not permitted!
Maximum permissible incline of the lifeline system = 15°
*)
Type C).
Changes of direction in the lifeline which are 45° or more must be solely made with
the intended system components (corner rope protector, rope guide 90°, rope guide
*)
variable etc.).
In each lifeline system a minimum of 1 LUX-top
preserver/force absorbers must be installed.
Assembly must take place on a surface/substrate with adequate load bearing capacity
in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and on site structural strength
verification in accordance with the technical building regulations. The minimum
component dimensions and edge distances in accordance with the assembly
instructions must be observed!*
The load transfer into the ground or into the on-site overall construction must be
verified on site by technical building regulations.*
The installers must ensure that the surface/substrate is suitable for fixing the anchor
*)
device.
All connections of the anchor device must be properly and conscientiously installed and
checked according to the manufacturer's specifications. This must be confirmed in the
form for the assembly documentation attached to these user instructions by the
installer in charge.

When using the system in Germany, the information provided in the
observed. This document dictates, amongst other things, that on lifeline systems with cornering elements a SKE II must be

installed on both ends.
Outside of Germany and after consultation with the manufacturer, the SKE II can be dispensed under
certain conditions for systems that are less than 25 m in length.
