Electrical connection
Disconnect power. Connect the unit according to the indications
on the terminals. The plug-in terminal strip features reverse
polarity protection.
Control inputs:
Terminal 12 (ZU / counting interruption)
A signal on terminal 12 interrupts the pulse evaluation for as long as
the signal is active; the last value counted remains in the display. When
the input signal has stopped, counting is resumed with the next input
pulse.
Terminal 13 (RESET/PRESET)
A pulse on terminal 13 sets the actual value display to 0 or to the
preset value.
The control inputs can be npn or pnp switching.
Signal inputs:
If you use npn-switching pulse pick-ups the opto-coupler inside the
unit must be plugged into the npn-position.
When assembling the housing ensure correct contacting of the
internal plug connections. The correct assembly can be tested
as follows:
Apply the supply voltage and press the "P" button.
If the counter changes to the programming mode, the assembly of
the unit is correct.
