Tines have extremely sharp points. Use caution when working around them.
Step 4-C
Add as many 5/8" Flat Washers (15) to the
opposite end of the shaft as necessary to eliminate
extra space. Fasten the remaining Cotter Pin (19)
on the end of the Tine Shaft (2).
Using pliers,
bend the Cotter
Pin (19) ends
over to secure
the pin in
place.
NOTE: Store extra flat washers (15) in a safe location. You may need them for maintenance.
Step 5
Carefully
flip the Aerator
Spreader over.
CAUTION: AVOID INJURY!
Make sure feet and hands are
clear of Tine Tips.
Add the hitch pin (16) through the clevis (20) and
drawbar (3). Secure with a Hairpin Cotter (18)
through the hitch pin.
NOTE: The hairpin cotter can be easily
tapped in place with a hammer or tool.
