10.3 Balancing of suspended probe holding fixture

In order to ensure the continuous application of measurement force
for both upward and downward measurement directions,
balancing of the suspended probe holding fixture
according to the used measuring insert weight
is required.
The adjustment button for balancing the suspended
probe holding fixture (1) enables compensating for
the weight of the used measuring insert. A function that
facilitates this adjustment process can be found in
the configuration menu (Chapter 9).

10.5 Battery replacement

Replace the battery pack whenever the level of instrument
autonomy is no longer satisfactory:
1.
Procure a battery pack 199112.4035.

3.
Remove the old battery pack and replace
it with the new one (Caution: Pay attention to the
polarity of the connector!)
4.
Ensure that the cover is securely closed
5.
Charge the new battery pack

10.7 Reset function

It is possible to force an electronic restart
in the case of blockage. To this end, open the cover behind the display
and use a pen to push the reset button (1).

10.8 Cleaning

Clean the plastic parts of the instrument and all coloured parts with a slightly dampened cloth.
Use rubbing alcohol or white spirit for cleaning the contact feet.
The setting of the display to zero and the input of a preset value should be per-
formed for measurements with air-cushioned movement with this function being
activated. This will ensure that the probe contact value is taken into account.
