5.8.2 Measurement in Delta mode
1. Select the Delta function. The corresponding indicator shows the
activated mode.
2. Probe the surface to be measured using the measuring insert and
have the measuring insert move along the workpiece to be analy-
sed. The first row indicates the current position of the measuring
insert. The second row indicates the difference between the mea-
sured minimum and the maximum value (=Delta).
Comment: Is restarted with each new measurement. Pressing the
Zero button will reset the delta function and the display starts
again at zero.

5.9 Mean value for the previous two measurements

Averages:
M1 = Between 2 centre lines
M2 = Between 2 heights
M3 = Between min. and max. values
M12 = Between a centre line and a height
M13 = Between a centre line and a max. value
M23 = Between a height and a min. value
By pressing the mean value button, the mean value based on the
previous two corresponding vertical, centre distance, minimum va-
lue or maximum value measurements is determined and shown in
the second row on the display. These measurements can be combi-
ned among one another.
Comment:
After the mean value is indicated, it is possible to assign the zero
value or a preset value to this determined position.
