7.2 Connection via RS232 / wireless

Connection to a serial printer
Printer 136600.6380. The RS232 cable, charger and a holder for at-
taching the printer to the instrument are included.

Software
The DataTransfer software is free and can be obtained from
Brütsch/Rüegger Tools AG or its representative.
Any other RS232 communication software program (Vmux, Hyperter-
minal, etc.) can be used.
Data transfer procedure
1. Connect the printer or PC via the RS232 interface of the instru-
ment.
2. Start and configure the communication software program.
3. Press the Data Transfer button. Data can also be transferred auto-
matically every time probe contact has been made (Chapter 9).
Data transfer (according to Opto-RS)
- Speed: 4800 baud
- ASCII code: 7 bits
- Parity: even
- Stop bits: 1
- Handshake: without
Format
The format of the transferred data corresponds to the numerical value
of the display in the ASCII code format. If both values are sent at the
same time in diameter/centre distance mode (Chapter 9), they are se-
parated by an End of Transmission (EOT).
