Use the supplied setting gauge to carry out this work step.
Comment:
Other setting gauges can be used as well. If this is the case,
they have to be saved in the configuration menu (Chapter 9).

Use the knob to probe the bottom of the setting gauge.

Use the knob to probe the top of the setting gauge.

Repeat steps 5 and 6. This enables accurate determination of
the measuring insert constant.

The probe constant value is indicated and saved. The instru-
ment is now ready for taking measurements.
The probe constant has to be determined and saved anew every time
a measuring insert is replaced, the position of the holder is changed,
or if the measurement force or the suspended probe holding fixture is
adjusted.
