5.
First, allow the saw blade to run and then
bring the footplate (5) into contact with the
surface of the work piece. Only use low
pressure when operating the reciprocating
saw.
6.
To switch OFF the reciprocating saw,
release the on/off trigger. After the saw
blade comes to standstill, remove the saw
blade from the work piece.
Overload Protection
The cordless reciprocating saw is equipped
with an overload protection. When the saw is
mechanically overloaded, the tool automatically
switches off (overload mode). Take the
machine into operation again by pressing the
on/off trigger to reset the overload mode.
When you continue to work reduce the stress
of the tool (exert less pressure on the work
piece, use sharper blades, etc.).
Note: Immediately switch OFF the machine,
–
if smoke or sparks are observed coming
from or around the collector resp. the
rotor,
–
if the machine does not function properly
or only intermittently when the battery,
charger, plug, power cable or switch are
damaged,
–
if smoke or a strong smell of burned
insulating material is observed,
–
if the accessory comes loose, is crooked
or damaged,
–
if the motor runs irregularly or jams,
–
if the saw blade jams. Slightly open the
sawn split in the work piece and extract
the saw blade. Do not try to finish the
cutting process with a jammed saw blade
to avoid injury or damaging the
reciprocating saw and the saw blade.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Maintenance
There are no inner parts of the tool which need
maintenance.
Cleaning
•
Keep safety devices, ventilation openings
and the motor housing as free as possible
from dirt and dust. Rub the electric power
tool with a clean cloth or blow over it with
low pressure compressed air.
•
We recommend that you clean your elec-
tric power tool immediately after each use.

•
Clean the electric power tool regularly with
a damp cloth and somewhat soft soap. Do
not use any cleaning or solvent materials;
these can attack the device's plastic com-
ponents. Make sure that no water can get
inside the electric power tool.
