10 REMOTE FUNCTIONS
10.1 INTRODUCTION:
You can remotely listen to your recorded
messages. During playback, you can fast forward,
rewind and delete your messages and you can
remotely switch off the answering machine.
You can also remotely switch the answering
machine on again. To remotely operate your
answering machine, you use the keypad of the
telephone you're calling with. Keep in mind that
this telephone must be a DTMF (tone) telephone
(you'll hear key tones when pressing numeric
buttons)
10.2 REMOTE CODE:
To prevent unauthorized use, the remote functions
are protected by a PIN code. To prevent confusion
with the PIN code of the wireless phone, the PIN
code for the remote operation of the answering
machine is called 'remote code'.
The default remote code set by the factory is
0000. It's recommended to change this code into
your personal code.
