Intended use

This ¼" camera serves for observation and protection of non-visible or criti-
cal areas (e.g. shop monitoring, entry phones, entrance areas, etc.)
The recorded images can be replayed on any suitable TV set or monitor with
video input. The camera has a 27x optical zoom. Zoom and focus can also
be adjusted at the back of the camera (automatic adjustment can be acti-
vated/deactivated). Further settings can be made in the OSD menu.
Furthermore, the camera has connection terminals for a PTZ camera and
for a controller for the following functions: Zoom (Z), focus (F), menu (M).
The product is only intended for dry indoor locations.
The voltage is supplied via 12V/DC (connection at the back of the camera;
current consumption: max. 280 mA).
Please bear in mind that it is prohibited by law to observe strangers with a
camera without their knowledge and consent.
Operating the product in any other way than described above is not permit-
ted and may lead to damage to the product, which can give rise to risks
such as short circuit, fi re and electric shock. The product must not be modi-
fi ed or converted. Always observe the safety instructions included in these
operating instructions. Read the operating instructions carefully and keep
them for later reference.
Symbols
The lightening symbol in a triangle is used to alert you to potential
risks for personal injury, such as electric shock.
This symbol, with an exclamation mark in a triangle, indicates particu-
lar dangers associated with handling, function or operation.
The "Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.

Safety instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by
failure to observe these safety instructions! We do not assume
any liability for any consequential damage!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal
injury caused by improper use or failure to observe the safety
instructions. The warranty will be null and void in such cases.
• The camera must not be modifi ed or converted, as not only will the
CE approval become void but also the warranty.
• The camera should not be exposed to extreme temperatures,
direct sunlight, humidity, intense vibrations or heavy mechanical
stress.
• Where the device is used connected to other devices e.g. a moni-
tor and a mains supply unit, the operating instructions and safety
instructions of the connected devices must be followed.
• The use of the surveillance camera system does not replace the
personal supervision of children, or people who require special as-
sistance, but only serves as a support to this supervision.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the camera requires only a
certain time to stabilise, in order to adjust to the surrounding tem-
perature, before it can be used.
• Electronic devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach
of children!
• Please contact a qualifi ed person if you are unsure about the safety
and correct use of the camera.

• Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plas-
tic fi lm/bags etc. can be dangerous playthings for children; there is
a risk of suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer pos-
sible, disconnect the device immediately and secure it against in-
advertent operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device shows visible signs of damage,
- the device no longer functions and
- if the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long
period of time
or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress in transit.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of
the Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Sys-
tems and Operating Materials are to be observed.
• The product is only intended for dry indoor locations.
• The voltage is supplied via 12V/DC (max. current consumption 280 mA).
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a
qualifi ed specialist or a specialised repair shop.

Installation
Find a suitable place for mounting from which the object to be monitored
can be observed.
A suitable place for installation of this camera has the following features:
• Vibration-free
• No direct sunlight
The connection cables must not be kinked or squeezed. This
can result in malfunctions, short circuits and faults with the
device.
Make sure that cables or wires are not damaged when drilling
or bolting in place.
The product is only intended for dry indoor locations.
A base for attaching the mounting foot is included in the delivery
of this camera. A mounting foot can be provided optionally.
The base can be mounted to the top of the housing as well as
at the bottom.
