A chain typically lasts between 2,000 miles and 5,000 miles, depending on the condi-
tions of use and on the frequency and quality of maintenance operations. Use a high
precision caliper gauge to measure, in different points of the chain, the length as indi-
cated in fig. 25. If even one of the measurement is longer than 132.60 mm the chain
must immediately be replaced.
