3 VIDEO GATEWAY 4T IN THE MP508 SYSTEM

The MP508 system can be supplied with "Video Gateway 4T" to send alarm notifications via e-mail with enclosed images
corresponding to the generated event.
The MP508 control panel that manages the interaction with "Video Gateway 4T" is supplied with a software Version 2.0 or
subsequent versions.

3.1 OPERATION

"Video Gateway 4T" constantly stores images of 4 video channels with a minimum interval of 2 sec. (pre-trigger).
The MP508 control panel is connected to "Video Gateway 4T" via the RS232 serial line with which there is a continuous
communication.
The storage of images to be attached to an e-mail can be presented in following two ways:
1. Alarm Event
When an alarm event is detected, deriving from inputs previously associated to 4 video channels, the control panel will
inform "Video Gateway 4T", which will begin to store only the subsequent images from the video channel associated to
the input in alarm (trigger) with a temporal scan of 2 sec.
The number of images acquired after the alarm event can be selected between 1 and 10 (thus, a maximum of 20 seconds
from the beginning of the event).
Once storage has finished, "Video Gateway 4T" transmits the sequence of images acquired, plus 5 pre-trigger
images stored before the event to the "Event Server Manager" (EMS.ELKVISIO.COM).
The server will store the images received in the corresponding Data Base.
Then, the events managing program will send the e-mails with the images corresponding to the event to the e-mail
addresses specified in the programming phase.
It is possible to send images of consecutive alarm events only if they are detected with an interval of at least 1 minute
one from the other.
In fact, "Video Gateway 4T" cannot manage events which are detected while other images are stored and sent to the
server manager.
The type of specialization of inputs that cause the sending of e-mails with the camera images is listed in the "Programming
manual" of MP508.
2. Incoming SMS Command
The sending of an e-mail with images of one of the four cameras can be triggered at any moment, by means of a
command sent with a SMS to the number of the SIM of the MP508 control panel.
The syntax and the mode of use of incoming SMS commands are shown in the "User Manual" of the MP508 control
panel.
