AKU drilling machine
Centre punch for marking the orifices
Spot drill of the dia. 8 mm
A drill bit for drilling a 10.3 mm diameter hole
An OK 16 socket wrench
A wooden peg
A screwdriver
A torque wrench
A soft pad
Mounting procedure
- Set the vehicle onto the arms of workshop lifting jack and lift it to required elevation.
Attention! For ·koda Fabia vehicles, remove rear wheels.
- Remove rear bumper and cross beam (for ·koda Fabia vehicles, remove also
rear fender inserts), panel of luggage compartment bar and left and right panel.

Explanations for the pictures
- with the index "a" – applies to the ·koda Fabia vehicle
- with the index "b" – applies to the ·koda Fabia Combi, Fabia Sedan vehicle
- without an index – applies to all types of vehicles
Punching the rear bumper for the trailer coupling
- 1a, 1b -
- Put the dismantled rear bumper upon a soft felt pad, with its bottom section upwards.
- Fit the paper template (A
, A
) for punching the rear bumper upon the bottom side of

the bumper in such a way that it may coincide with the pre-pressed outline marked
there.
- Using a centre punch (B), mark the spots for drilling the four orifices in the points of
the axial crosses through the template.
- 2a, 2b -
- Drill the centring punches in the marked spots. Use the AKU drilling machine (C)
and a special spot drill of the dia. 8 mm (D).
Caution! Attention must be paid to the accurate location of future orifices!
- 3a, 3b -
- Drill a 10.3 mm diameter hole at the place of the centring indentations.
