• Risk of fire with insufficient ventilation
of the motor.
• Adverse effects on the hearing
caused by working without ear de-
fenders.
The ability to work safely is dependant
on the familiarity of the operator when
it comes to handling the given electri-
cal tool. Appropriate knowledge of the
machinery and careful behaviour when
working help to minimise the remaining
risks.
WARNING! During operation, this
power tool generates an electro
magnetic field. This field may, under
certain circumstances, influence ac
tive or passive medical implants. In
order to reduce the risk of serious or
deadly injuries, we recommend persons
with such a medical implant to consult
their doctor and the manufacturer of the
medical implant before using the power
tool.
5 – General safety notes re
garding the handling of
power tools
WARNING! Read all safety notes
and instructions. The failure to fol-
low all safety notes and instructions may
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious
injury.
Store all safety notes and instructions
for future reference.
The term "power tool" as used in the
safety notes refers to mains-operated
electrical tools (with power cables) and to
battery-operated electrical tools (without
power cables).

Safety at work
• Keep work area clean and well lit.
Cluttered and dark areas invite acci-
dents.
• Do not operate power tools in ex
plosive atmospheres, such as in the
presence of flammable liquids, gas
ses or dust. Power tools create sparks,
which may ignite dust or vapours.
• Keep children and bystanders
away while operating a power tool.
Distractions may cause you to lose
control of the unit.
Electrical safety
• The plug of the electrical tool must
fit into the socket. Never modify
the plug in any way. Do not use an
adapter in conjunction with protec
tiveearth power tools. Unmodified
plugs and matching outlets will reduce
the risk of electric shock.
• Avoid physical contact with earthed
surfaces, for example: pipes, heat
ing, ovens and fridges. There is an
increased risk of electric shock if your
body is earthed or grounded.
• Keep the device away from rain or
damp. Water entering into an electrical
device will increase the risk of an elec-
trical shock.
• Do not misuse the cable by using it
to carry the power tool, to hang it up
or to pull the plug out of the socket.
Keep the cable away from heat, oil,
sharp edges or moving device parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase
the risk of electric shock.
