10 Troubleshooting

10.1 Identifying faults and possible solutions

Symptoms
Patient lift feels loose
Castors/ brakes noisy or stiff
Noisy or dry sound from pivots
Electric actuator fails to raise or lower
the boom or legs fail to open or close
when button is pressed
Unusual noise from actuator
Boom will not lower when activating
the manual emergency release
The control unit emits a beeping sound
during lifting, and the motor stops
Battery does not charge
Lifting arm can not be adjusted
Leg support can not be installed or
adjusted

Mast/ Base joint loose
Manual leg spreader mechanism loose
Fluff or debris in bearings
Castors / brakes are damaged
Pivots are worn or damaged
Hand control or actuator connector

Battery low
Emergency stop button is pressed in
Battery not connected properly to
control unit
The connecting terminals are damaged
Power cord connected to power outlet
Boom actuator or leg actuator is
damaged
Max. load is exceeded
Actuator is damaged
Boom requires a minimum weight load
to lower from the uppermost position

Power cord is not properly connected to
the control unit/and or power outlet
Power cord is damaged
The red lever on the boom is not
pushed and held upwards

Leg band is clogging the back of the leg

Solution
Retighten the Mast / Base connection.

connector. Ensure connectors are seated
properly and fully connected
