• NOTES ON THE GRILL AND COMBINATION MODE
o
Because the heat in the grilling and combination mode is radiated, please only use heat-
proof cookware.
When you are using just the grilling mode, you may also use metal or aluminium cookware,
o
but not in the combination or standard microwave mode.
Do not place anything on the top of the housing, as this heats up. Make sure the vent slots
o
are never obstructed.
In grilling mode, place the grill rack on the turntable and place the food to be cooked on the
o
grill rack. This positions the food nearer to the grill.
BEFORE STARTING THE APPLIANCE
Remove all the accessories that are in the cooking area. Position the glass turntable (5) on
o
the shaft ring (4) so that it is level.
o
Check the appliance for any visible damages, especially around the door. If there is any
damage of any kind, the appliance must not be used.
o
To avoid operational disturbances from other appliances, never place your microwave near
to other electronic appliances.
Remove the adhesive protective film from the housing. Put the mains plug into a properly
o
installed safety socket 230V, 50Hz.
• USING THE APPLIANCE
Your appliance works through microwave radiation which heats the water particles in food
o
in a very short time. There is no radiation of heat and therefore hardly any browning. As a
result, the appliance is not suitable for drying purposes.
Only warm up foodstuffs with this appliance.
o
The appliance is not suitable for deep fat frying / cooking.
o
Do not try to heat up overly large quantities, otherwise the appliance becomes less
o
efficient.
Microwaves work at full capacity instantly. It is therefore not necessary to preheat the food
o
when using microwave mode.
o
The microwave oven does not replace your conventional oven. It is used mainly for:
§
defrosting frozen food
§
quickly warming up food or drinks
Only use suitable cookware such as:
o
Glass, porcelain, ceramics, heat-proof plastic or special microwave containers.
§
Never use any metal cookware.
§
conditional baking of food
§
For recipes and their respective cooking times in the microwave, please refer to a recipe
o
book for microwaves, which can be found in most bookstores.
