Remote current adjustment :
1) with potentiometer: wire the potentiometer (5kOhm,
3W) to the terminals "POT I" and "Com/TA". Run the
generating set to its nominal speed and adjust the external
potentiometer and eventually also the trimmer "I" to obtain
the required voltage.
2) Connection with controller or cosf regulator: the
AVR regulator accepts voltage analogic input (0-3VDC,
Following fast-on connections are available on the AVR:
observe polarity shown in figure) for remote voltage
adjustment. To set the system, follow this procedure:
· Power input, terminals AuxL, AuxN.
- Decrease the voltage by turning the "V" trimmer counter-

· Voltage sensing, terminals – Batt., +Batt.
· Current sensing, terminals Com\TA (black), TA (red).
- Apply half the control voltage at the "POT I" and "Com/

· External potentiometer for adjustment current limitation, terminals Pot I, Com.Ta.
- Act on the "I" trimmer to bring the voltage to the nominal
value;
in this way, the external controller can increase or decrease

Remote voltages adjustment : connect the external potentiometer (5kOhm, ½W) to the free
terminal "POT V" and to "Com.Ta", and the V trimmer on the AVR board must be adjusted fully
anticlockwise.

6.4.4 Initial start-up

Before starting up the generating set check that all exter-
nal connections are in order and that the protections are
in place.
During the initial start-up pay particular attention for any
unusual noise that might signal an incorrect alignment be-
tween engine and generator.
Do not touch the generator while in operation
and immediatly after the generating set has
stopped, since certain parts may still be very
hot.
WARNING!
Generators are rotating electrical machines that involve
potentially hazardous live or moving parts, therefore the
following is strictly prohibited:
• an improper use;
• removal of covers and disconnection of safeties.
Due to these inherent hazards, all works of electrical or me-
chanical nature must be carried out by qualified specialists.
