Proper use

❐ The device is suitable for preparing fondue with oil, cheese or chocolate.
❐ This device may be used by children ages 8 and over as well as persons with impaired phys-
ical, sensory or mental capacities or those lacking experience and/or knowledge if they are
supervised or have been instructed in how to safely use the device and have understood the
risks associated with operating the device. Children may not play with the device. Children
may not perform cleaning and user maintenance of the device unless they are 8 years of age
or older and are supervised.
❐ Children under 8 years of age and animals must be kept away from the device, the mains
cord and plug.
❐ The device is not intended to be operated with an external timer or a separate telecontrol
system.
❐ The device is intended for domestic, not commercial use.
❐ Only use the device as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed improper.
Incorrect operation and improper handling may cause the device to malfunction and result
in injury to the user.

For your health

❐ There may be some production residues stuck to the device. To prevent health risks, clean
the fondue pot and the fondue forks thoroughly before fi rst use (see chapter "Cleaning and
storage").
❐ Clean the device before and after every use and keep it clean.
❐ Only prepare food that is suitable for cooking and consumption.

Setting up and connecting the device properly

❐ Keep children and animals away from the device and packaging. There is a danger of injury
and suffocation!
❐ Only use and store the device out of the reach of children and animals. The mains cord may
also not be accessible for children. They could pull the device down with it.
❐ Only use the device in closed spaces.
