The system prompts for the manufacturer-supplied hardware support
disk.
Insert the LSI21320 driver diskette containing the Windows XP driver

required to support the LSI21320 host adapter and press <Enter>.
Select the Windows XP driver from the menu by highlighting it and

press <Enter>.
Press <Enter>.

Return to the Windows XP Setup screen.
Press <Enter>.

The message about setup loading files appears.

Existing System Installation

This procedure installs or upgrades the SYMMPI.SYS driver onto an
existing Windows XP system. When the LSI21320 host adapter is added to
an existing system installation, the new adapter is automatically detected at
the next reboot.
To install the SYMMPI.SYS driver, follow these steps:
Boot Windows XP .

The Found New Hardware Wizard appears.
Read the information on the first page of this window because it will

identify the SCSI controller. It will also request the driver diskette.
Insert the LSI21320 driver diskette into your floppy drive A:.

Choose the Install software automatically option.

Click Next button.

In some cases, a message will display saying that this driver is not
digitally signed. This message informs you that a non-signed driver is
being installed.
Click Stop Installation to cancel the installation if the non-

signed driver is not desired.
