Setting Up An Integrated Striping

Use the following steps to use the Fusion-MPT SCSI BIOS Configuration
Utility to set up an Integrated Striping Array:

When the BIOS loads, the message "Press <Ctrl-
A> to start LSI Logic Configuration
Utility..." appears on your screen. After pressing
<Ctrl-A>, the message changes to "Please wait,
invoking LSI Logic Configuration
Utility...". After a brief pause, your monitor
displays the Main Menu of the Fusion-MPT SCSI
BIOS Configuration Utility.

While on the Main menu, select an adapter using
the arrow keys.

Press <
> to move to the Adapter
Enter
Properties menu.

Select Add RAID Array using the arrow keys.

Press <
> to move to the RAID Array
Enter
Properties menu.

While in the RAID Array Properties menu, select
the first disk that will make up the IS volume using
the arrow keys. Toggle between Yes and No using
the <+/-> keys.

Select the second disk that will make up the IS
volume. Toggle between Yes and No using the
<+/-> keys.

Continue to select additional disks to complete the
IS volume, up to a maximum of six disks.

Press the <F3> key.

Select "Save changes then exit this menu". The
screen displays "Processing... takes up to
1 minute" while the configuration utility
establishes the IS volume.
