Servomotor rotation direction: provided the recommended cabling has been followed, a positive speed
instruction for the servoamplifier will result in clockwise rotation when viewed from the drive shaft side.

3.6 Associated servoamplifiers

EX6 servomotors carry ATEX certification, and because of this certificate, are subjected to strict rules
regarding their use. One of such rules is the use of a servoamplifier that meets specific characteristics:
Voltage of the associated speed drive
Power supply direct current voltage (V)
Motor electrical frequency (Hz)
Steady peak current in a phase (Â/Arms)
Maximum peak current in a phase (Â/Arms)
Maximum steady motor power (W)
Motors must be connected in accordance with the diagrams in appendix.

3.7 Maintenance

The bearings have a double protective coating and are greased for life. The bearings are guaranteed
for 20,000 hours operation; beyond this, they must be replaced at the factory.
Visually inspect the motor annually: tightness of screws, cable entries, possible corrosion, lip seal
(gas/dust motor only)...Any damaged components should, imperatively, be replaced.
The ability of the KM1 power circuit relay to work correctly should be checked every year; this being an
integral part of the safety features.
The power contactor KM1 should be replaced in accordance with its operation lifespan and number of
manoeuvres. A yearly test, intended to check on the ability of the contactor to detect condition
changes, should also be carried out.

3.8 Diagnostic help

We have set out below several symptoms with possible causes. This list is by no means exhaustive, it
is advisable, therefore, in any case of operating anomaly to refer to the associated servoamplifier
commissioning manual (the diagnostic display details will help you with your investigation).
