XII – ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY
Important: The power cord, micro-motor cord, and footswitch cord must be kept apart.
The I-SURGE requires special precautions to be taken with regard to electromagnetic compatibility. It must be
installed and prepared for use as described in chapter IV.
Certain types of mobile telecommunication devices such as mobile telephones are likely to interfere with the I-
SURGE. The recommended separation distances in this paragraph must therefore be complied with.
The I-SURGE must not be used near to or on top of another device. If this cannot be avoided, its operation under
the conditions of use must be checked beforehand.
If you cannot find the cause of the malfunction, immediately discontinue use of
the device and contact dealer, the authorized service center, or the manufacturer
directly.
Solution
Try to turn off the motor by pressing the [Motor ON/OFF] button on the keyboard
or by using the foot pedal.
If the motor will not turn off, immediately discontinue use of the device and
contact SATELEC after-sales service.
Immediately discontinue use of the device and contact SATELEC after-sales
service.
Verify that the voltage matches the power supply. If it does, try to switch the
central unit off and then on again, or connect the device to another electrical
outlet.
Solution
Disconnect power to the central unit. Check to see if the rotor of the peristaltic
pump rotates correctly and is not blocked by any internal or external objects.
Remove any visible blockage if possible. Otherwise, contact SATELEC after-sales
service.
To verify the proper tube connection follow the instructions on Chapter VIII –
USING THE DEVICE.
Check for damage along the tube, kinks, partial occlusions, etc. Arrange for
immediate replacement of the tube.
