• "Dead man" function duration :
Check the effective duration of the "Dead man" function (automatic shutdown of transmitter) :
Start up the remote control and leave it without activating any control. Record the time after which
the receiver safety relays are deenergized and check that this duration corresponds to the standard
duration supplied (4min.) or the duration specified on order (special programming, see customisation
sheet), or to the new duration defined by a trained and authorized operator in accordance with the
procedure described in § 6.3.3.

IR start-up option :
If the IR start-up mode is used, evaluate the limit of its area of action and check that the area is
limited to that defined for the application.
•
Radio range limits and option "start up with IR validation" if chosen :
Evaluate the range limit of the transmitter/receiver assembly (by moving up to the range limit).
Make sure of the good infrared area covering by the IR module.

Special function: masking of certain function buttons
If button masks are included in the electronic key, check that they properly correspond to the
application for which they have been provided.
6.1.1- Periodic checks and checks performed following
maintenance operations
In addition to the commissioning checks which should be performed, also check :
- That the ergonomic features of the transmitter unit have been preserved, such as: pressure on
function buttons, correct rotation of rotary switches, correct functioning of emergency stop button,
etc...
- Response time of commands between transmission of a command and resulting movement.
6.2- Startup the radio remote control
1- Switch ON the URR receiver
2- Install the electronic key on the URE transmitter
3- Copy the receiver identity code contained in the electronic to the URE transmitter following procedure
described in §6.3.4.
4- Unlock the transmitter stop palmswitch button
5- Wait until the orange indicator goes off (transmitter initialization - 2 seconds)
6- Press the "On/Horn" button until the receiver is started up.
If the remote control is equipped with the option " start up by infrared validation ": with the
transmitter, aim at the infrared UDF module bounding the zone of starting up while pressing on the
green "On / Horn" button.
To stop the radio remote control : press the stop palmswitch button
NB : If this procedure is not observed, the transmitter will indicate an error (red and green indicator
lights will flash 5 times).
