EMC guidelines. The shielding must be connected extensively. With other
connection techniques, an EMC‐proof shield should be applied in the wire
area and this shielding should also be connected extensively (see also HBM
Greenline Information, brochure i1577).
6.2 Shortening the cable
The cable can be shortened, and the effect on the sensitivity temperature co
efficient or on the sensitivity itself, is minimal.
6.3 Cable extension
Only use shielded, low‐capacitance measurement cables for extension. En
sure that connection is perfect, with a low contact resistance. We recommend
running the extension as a six‐wire circuit, so that the sensitivity does not
change.

Tip
If you use a four‐wire configuration for the extension (four‐wire cable), you
should calibrate the measuring chain with this cable, as the sensitivity of the
measurement system will decrease, that is, the sensitivity will be less than
that stated in the specifications.
