Use a sufficiently dimensioned overvoltage protection in
addition to the correct shielding (see Chapter 7.5, EMC
protection).

Shortening the cable
If the transducer is connected to an amplifier in a six-wire
configuration, the transducer cable can be shortened as
required, without adversely affecting the measurement
accuracy.
