4.2.4 External antenna (only for AV-3050RDX)
Model AV-3050RDX requires a reception antenna
which is connected via the jack "antenna" (6). The
MONACOR "DX-..." series offers various antennas
with different antenna gain.
In case of antenna lines exceeding 4 m, insert an
antenna amplifier, e. g. DXC-1AMP from MONACOR.
Power supply for this antenna amplifier is effected by
the receiver via the antenna line.
4.2.5 Power supply
For power supply, a regulated power supply unit with
an output voltage between 7 V
output current of minimum 320 mA is required, e. g.
PS-362ST from MONACOR.
1) In case of power supply units with variable output
voltage, set the voltage to a value between 7 V and
30 V.
2) Connect the power supply unit via a low voltage
plug 5.5/2.1 mm (outside/inside diameter) to the
jack "DC 7-30V" (10). Observe the correct polarity
in any case: The positive pole must be at the inner
contact of the plug.
3) Only after all other connections have been made,
connect the power supply unit to a mains socket
(230 V~/50 Hz). After applying the operating volt-
age, the receiver is switched on. The channel dis-
play (1) indicates the last channel selected before
the receiver was switched off.
After operation, disconnect the power supply
unit from the mains socket.
4.3 Making adjustments
4.3.1 Selecting channels
The wireless transmission is made in the 2.4 GHz
range which has been divided by the manufacturer
into five channels with a distance of 14 MHz. As a
maximum, three channels can be used simulta-
neously (channels 1, 3, and 5) as two adjacent chan-
nels will interfere with each other. If two channels are
required, several combinations are possible:
channel 1 with channel 3, 4, or 5
channel 2 with channel 4 or 5
channel 3 with channel 5
Set the receiver to the channel of the transmitter with
the button "channel selection" (3). The selected chan-
nel is indicated in the channel display (1).
4.3.2 Adjusting the video level
The video output level at the jack "video out" (7) is set
to 1 Vpp according to standard. However, if the pic-
ture on the screen seems too bright or too dark,
adjust the level with the control "video level" (4).
