5.4 Battery low voltage disconnection
The threshold is 21.6 V+/-3%.
The relay is located on +.
5.5 Battery current limitation
The battery current limitation is user adjustable according to the battery capacity, in order to ensure a battery
reloading between 0.1C and 0.3C as advised by the manufacturer. The thresholds are 25%, 50% and 75% of
the nominal current. Selection is made by 2 microswitches. The charging current default value is set at 75% of
the nominal current.
5.6 Temperature compensation
Thanks to a battery voltage compensation system, the load characteristics can be maintained within the
specifications limits provided by the battery manufacturer, thus under the all range of temperature use.
The temperature is measured by sensors placed as close as possible to the battery.
Voltage values versus temperature values are:
T (°C)
Battery Voltage (V) 28.27 28.27 28.27 27.74 27.38 27.20 26.98 26.66 26.40 26.17

5.8 Specified values of I
I
is the maximum specified output current that can be supplied continuously while charging the battery.
max a
The standard EN12101-10 §6.2.2 stipulates that "after the end of the maximum backup duration at the
maximum rest current I
180s, the output voltage staying within the voltage range specified by the manufacturer", and specifies the
maximum required backup durations. For this reason, the specified values for I
standard to comply with.
