* Clean the grills and flat top grill with a suitable cleaning brush (available
in the Boretti webshop).
* Remove the cooking grills and flat top grill.
* Brush charred (food) residue towards the grease tray.
* Remove the grease tray and clean it with warm water and detergent.
* Use warm water and detergent to clean the outside of the barbecue.
* Dry the barbecue with a soft, clean cloth.
5.2 Grease collection tray
The grease tray must be cleaned regularly to prevent the accumulation
of dirt and residue.
Please note:
make sure the grease tray has cooled down before cleaning it.
5.3 Grills
The grills can be cleaned immediately after cooking, if the barbecue
is turned off, with a suitable cleaning brush. Cleaning the grills with a
degreasing agent and water increases the risk of oxidation/rust. This
can be prevented by rubbing the grills with olive oil after cleaning.
5.4 Stainless steel
After the first use, parts of the barbecue may become discoloured by
the intense heat of the burners. This is normal.
Use a stainless steel cleaning agent and rub it in the same direction
as the brushing of the metal. It is possible that grease splatters and
sticks on the stainless steel parts, making some parts look worn. Use
a non-abrasive cleaning agent in combination with a stainless steel
cleaning agent to remove the grease.
5.5 Changing the battery of the igniter (if present)
Turn and remove the igniter button and remove the AA battery. Insert a
new AA battery.
5.6 Enamel parts
Some parts of the barbecue have an enamel coating. Enamel is a
glass-based product and is very durable and wear-free. However, it is
not very resistant to shocks and impact, which may cause fine cracks.
