6.5- Servicing and cleaning
- Clean the machine thoroughly after each use!
- Two-hand guards: the combined clamping and control device must remain running smooth.
Lubricate occasionally with a few drops of oil.
- Moving parts: keep the splitting knife (wedge) guides clean. Lubricate the sliding rails with oil spray
or lubricating grease.
- Splitting knife (wedge): the splitting knife must be slightly lubricated before operation. This
procedure must be repeated after every 5 hours of use. Lightly apply grease or spray oil onto the edge
and lateral surfaces. The splitting knife must not run dry. Keep the splitting knife edge clean and
eliminate any wood resin residue after use.
- Machine enclosure: clean the machine parts (enclosure, covers, control levers) with a soft, dry cloth
or dampen it slightly with neutral detergent. Do NOT use solvents, such as alcohol or gasoline, as
these can damage the surfaces.
6.6- Storage
- Keep the product, the instructions manual and all accessories in the original packaging.
- It is recommended to store the tool in a dry indoor location out of children's reach,
- Cover the splitter properly if you store it in a shelter or in poorly protected room.
- Protect the motor and especially the switch against water and moisture.
- Do not store anything above or on the splitter
6.7- Disposal
- Do not dispose the product with household garbage. Do not throw into the environment.
- Dispose of the product in a collection centre for waste of electrical and electronic equipment, or a
waste drop-off centre; or seek advice from your local municipality.
- Disposal of the product, accessories and packaging should be carried out according to local
regulations governing environment protection
