5 Operation
Removing the bur:
After bur stop, press the push-button firmly and remove the bur. Do not press the push-button while the bur is in motion.
Actuation during operation may result in damage to the chuck system and cause injury. It is essential to avoid contact
between soft tissue and the head back-cap of the turbine. In the event of turbine damage, heating-up of the head and
associated burns are possible.
Remove bur from the turbine when finished with treatment. Placing the instrument in its holder with a bur remaining in
the chuck may result in injury and infection. Secure the turbine to prevent it from dropping since this may damage the
turbine.
Damage of the turbine
A turbine that is not connected correctly can become loose from the supply hose and become disconnected.
Before each treatment, check that the turbine is safely connected to the supply hose by gentle pulling on the turbine.
Loss of functionality
Pressing the footswitch while connecting or disconnecting the turbine can cause damage to the turbine and to the supply hose.
Do not connect or disconnect the turbine while the footswitch is operating.
Spray cooling
Risk due to insufficient quantities of water for spray cooling
If the supply of cooling water is insufficient then this can cause the tooth to heat up.
A water supply of at least 50 ml/min is required for the spray cooling.
