Checking the air pressure:
For operating turbine an operating pressure of minimum 2.1 bar (30 psi) is required. 2.8 bar (40 psi) is recommended. A higher
operating pressure is automatically reduced inside the turbine.
The air consumption is 39 - 55 NI/min.
Pressure readings for the turbine:
Drive air = 2.1 - 4.2 bar (30 - 60 psi)
Recommendation = 2.8 bar (40 psi)
Return air < 0.5 bar (7 psi)
Water = 0.8 - 2.5 bar (11 - 36 psi)
Spray air = 1.0 - 4.0 bar (14 - 57 psi)
The minimum amount of water required for spray cooling is 50 ml per minute. An insufficient amount of water may cause overheating of
the tooth.
Checking the turbine coupling:
All 5 O-rings must be in place and should not be damaged. Missing or damaged O-rings should be replaced or they may result in
premature wear and failure.
Possible hazard caused by non-sterile products
Danger of infection to the practitioner and patient.
The turbine must be sterilized before first use and after each use.
