b) Installing the Receiver Aerial
The receiver aerial is brought out from the rear right of the boat body in driving direction and guided upwards with an
aerial tube.
• Turn the three locking levers to the "OPEN"
position (figure 3, item 1) and lift off the canopy.
The canopy has small latches in the area of
the arresting levers for this (figure 3, item 2) to
facilitate lifting off.
Lift up the canopy at the rear until the front part
comes free of its anchoring.
• Push the aerial (figure 4, item 1) of the receiver
(figure 4, item 2) from the inside of the boat to
the outside.
• Guide the aerial into the aerial tube (figure 4,
item 3) and push it into the boat body opening.
Modern remote control systems in 2.4 GHz technology only require short aerials at the transmitter and
receiver for secure operation. As shown in figure 4, item 1, the installed receiver also only has a small
receiver aerial. Only the few centimetres without insulation are the aerial. It is fully sufficient for the aerial to
protrude from the body as shown in figure 4, item 1. The remaining part of the aerial cable serves as
supply/extension so that you can pull an aerial from a body.
Important!
The remote control range may be reduced drastically if the receiver aerial is not placed correctly (e.g. if the
aerial is only in the boat's body). In this case, the model can no longer be controlled. Check that the
receiver aerial is placed correctly before every operation.
