- Locomotives go too slowly.
- Does the power supply have
sufficient output for the number
of locomotives?
- Does the Central Station have
sufficient capacity for the num-
ber of locomotives? The maxi-
mum capacity of the Central
Station is 5 amps.
- Two locomotives respond to a
command
from
Mouse.
- Are the locomotives set to the
same address? Reprogram one
locomotive
address.
- Locomotives don't respond
instantly to speed/direction
commands.
- To protect the locomotives, the
Multi-Train System features a
throttle with delayed accelerati-
on and braking. Allow extra time
and space for starting and stop-
ping.
- Conventional locos go the
wrong way
- Decoder-equipped locos always
go forward when you turn the
speed/direction control right,
backward when you turn the
speed/direction
However, conventional locomoti-
ves may travel in the opposite
direction, depending on the
direction the loco is placed on
the track. Always test the opera-
tion of conventional locos.
- Conventional locomotives
make an unusual noise.
- Conventional locomotives (locos
without decoders) will make a
buzzing noise, especially when
stopped. This is caused by the
complex
signal
through the track to decoder-
equipped locos. This will not
harm a conventional LGB loco-
motive.
Safety rules
For your safety, please observe
these rules:
- CAUTION! The LGB Multi-
Train System is not a toy! Child-
ren should be supervised at all
times.
- CAUTION! Do not connect the
LGB Multi-Train System and a
conventional power system to
the same layout. For example,
do not use a powered catenary
system together with the LGB
Multi-Train System on the same
layout.

- CAUTION! Do not connect
more than one Central Station
to the same layout.
- Do not block the ventilation
slots of the Central Station. Do
not put anything into the ventilati-
on slots.
- Do not install the Central Sta-
tion in an unventilated space.
The Central Station generates
heat. Protect the Central Station
from moisture.
- Use LGB power supplies
(transformers
packs) only. The use of other
power supplies will void your war-
ranty.
- If there is a short circuit, loca-
te the cause immediately.
- Do not connect the Central
Station directly to house cur-
rent.
- Before cleaning the Central
Station, disconnect all cables.
- Check the components of the
Multi-Train System regularly.
Do not use the system if any com-
ponent is damaged.
Violating these rules voids your
warranty.
left.
Hints and tips
- The LGB Multi-Train System
supplies a constant voltage to
your track layout. Lights and
smoke generators in locomotives
and rolling stock can operate at
all times, even when they are not
moving.
- A decoder-equipped locomotive
can be operated on a conventio-
nally powered layout. No modifi-
cations are necessary.
- More information on the LGB
Multi-Train System, including spe-
cial decoder installations, can be
found in LGB Depesche and LGB
Telegram magazines, as well as
on the web under www.lgb.de.
