Using the Train Mouse

The Train Mouse Control offers
complete walk-around control of
your locomotives. Using the Train
Mouse is simple:
- Set the loco address selector
on the Train Mouse to the
address of the loco (1-8) you
want to control. Locos with fac-
tory-installed decoders are preset
to Address 1. 55020 decoders are
preset to Address 3.
- To start the loco, turn the
speed/direction control right or
left. If you turn the control right,
the loco will go forward. If you turn
the control left, the loco will go
backward.
- To turn the loco's lights on or
off, press the loco lighting button
(left) on the Train Mouse. (Locos
with remote lighting control only.)
- To operate the loco's func-
tions (e.g., horn), press the loco
function button (right) on the Train
Mouse. (Locos with remote func-
tion control only.) For example,
you can sound the horn before
the train passes a grade crossing.
The functions vary from loco to
loco. On some locos, the loco fun-

functions, depending on how
many times the button is pressed.

For example, on many sound
locos, you can operate the whist-

read the loco instructions.
- To stop the loco, turn the
speed/direction control back to
the center position.
- To control a different loco,
move the loco address selector
from the address of the first loco
to the address of the second loco.
Now you can control the second
loco.
The first loco will continue at the
same speed and in the same
direction. Another Train Mouse
can now take control of the first
loco.
Only one Train Mouse can control
a locomotive at a time. If you sel-
ect a locomotive address that is in
use, the Train Mouse LED will turn
off when you send a command.
This indicates that the loco is
being controlled by another Train
Mouse.
- To stop all locomotives imme-
diately, press the Emergency
Stop button in the center of the
speed/direction control. All power
to the track will be switched off.
The Train Mouse LED will flash.
To restart after an emergency
stop, wait for the Train Mouse
LED to flash three times. Then
press the Emergency Stop button
once. The locomotives will resu-

direction
Hint: If your locos were about to
collide when you pushed the
Emergency Stop button, press
the Reset button before restar-
ting.
- The Train Mouse LED indicates
the status of the Train Mouse:
- LED On - System OK, Loco
address OK
- LED Flashing - Emergency stop
- LED Off - Loco address in use

The Central Station

The Central Station is the heart of
the Multi-Train System. It receives
orders from the Train Mouse Con-

the track to the locomotive deco-

connection terminals, two status
LEDs, a „Reset" button and a
„7+1" button.
The Reset button returns the
system to its original „default"
settings. If you press the Reset
