When the season in one city is set to SUMMER, all cities in
the same hemisphere are automatically set to SUMMER,
while all cities in the other hemisphere are automatically
set to WINTER. The watch knows which cities are in each
hemisphere.
EXAMPLE: Australia and much of Europe change time in
March and October. If Paris is chosen as the city, select
WINTER between October and March. Select SUMMER
between March and October. When the city is changed to
be Sydney, the season indication automatically changes
to be the opposite of that in Paris, since Sydney is in the
opposite hemisphere. For Tokyo, the season will be the
same as that in Paris, but since Tokyo does not observe
daylight savings time, the season setting does not affect
the time.

Cities in the same hemisphere may switch between
WINTER time and SUMMER time on different dates due
to different laws. Much of the time, however, the season
setting will be correct for all cities. For more information,
see timex.com.
Setting the world time consists of selecting a city within
your home time zone and setting the time for that city to
be equal to your local time. The watch will then know the
time in all the other cities.
