Ein 19" CD-Player in Spezialausführung:
- Die Geschwindigkeit und damit die Tonhöhe sind
in einem Bereich von ±8 % regelbar.
- Über eine Steuerbuchse (für Klinkenstecker
6,3 mm) kann mit dem Faderstart eines entspre-
chend eingerichteten Mischpultes der CD-Spieler
gestartet werden.
- Mit der CUE-Taste können 'Scratch'-Effekte er-
zeugt werden.
- Es kommt ein professionelles, mechanisch beson-
ders gut gedämpftes Laufwerk zum Einsatz, aus-
gerüstet mit einem Dreistrahllaser.
Weitere Ausstattungsmerkmale:
- 16 Bit 8fach Oversampling, Programmiermöglich-
keit für Titelreihenfolge (20 Titel), Wiederholfunk-
tion und regelbarer Kopfhörerausgang.
- Der Ausgang L/R ist an Cinchbuchsen abnehmbar.
- Für Betrieb in einem 19"-Gestell sind die beilie-
genden Montagewinkel am Gerät anzuschrauben.
1 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Dieses Gerät entspricht der EU-Richtlinie Nr.
89/336/EWG für elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit.
Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher Netzspan-
nung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb nie-
mals selbst Eingriffe im Gerät vor. Durch unsach-
gemäßes Vorgehen besteht die Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlages. Außerdem erlischt beim
Öffnen des Gerätes jeglicher Garantieanspruch.
Beachten Sie für den Betrieb auch unbedingt die fol-
genden Punkte:
•
Vorsicht! Bei geöffneter CD-Schublade nicht in
den CD-Schacht blicken. Eventuell austretende
Laserstrahlen können zu Augenschäden führen.
•
Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung in Räumen
geeignet.

- With the CUE button a 'stutter' effect can be pro-
duced.
- The CD player is equipped with a professional
player mechanism with a three beam laser and
mounted on special shock absorbers.
Further features are:
- 16 Bit 8 times oversampling, programming facility
for the sequence (20 titles), repeat function and
headphones output with volume control.
- The output L/R is provided with cinch jacks.
- For mounting in a 19" rack screw the enclosed
mounting brackets at the CD player.
1 Safety Notes
This appliance corresponds to the EC Directive No.
89/336/EWG for electromagnetic compatibility.
This unit uses lethally high voltage (230 V~). To
prevent a shock hazard, do not open the cabinet.
Leave servicing to authorized skilled personnel
only. Any guarantee expires if the unit has been
opened.
For the operation also watch in any case the follow-
ing items:
•
Caution! Do not look into the CD mechanism
when the CD drawer is open. Laser beams could
be emitted resulting in eye damage.
•
The unit is only suitable for indoor use.
•
Only operate the CD player with temperatures be-
tween 5°C and 35°C.

Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Vibrationen, Feuchtig-

3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur in eine
Fachwerkstatt geben.

Eine beschädigte Netzanschlußleitung darf nur
durch den Hersteller oder eine autorisierte Fach-
werkstatt ersetzt werden.

Den Netzstecker nie an der Zuleitung aus der
Steckdose ziehen.

Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, falsch bedient
oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann für eventu-
elle Schäden keine Haftung übernommen werden.

Für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes Staubtuch ver-
wenden, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien oder Wasser.

3 Drucktaste zum Öffnen und Schließen der CD-
Schublade

5 START/PAUSE-TASTE, zum Starten der Wieder-
gabe bei eingelegter CD, zum Einschalten einer
Pause bei laufender CD. Bei eingeschalteter
Pause kann eine beliebige andere Stelle auf der
CD angewählt werden.
6 START/PAUSE-Anzeige
•
Protect the CD player from vibrations, humidity,
dust, and direct sun radiation.
•
Do not operate the CD player near hum sources
like e. g. transformers or motors.
•
Do not set the unit into operation and immediately
take the mains plug out of the mains socket if:
1. damage at the unit or mains cable can be seen.
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or
similar accident.
3. there are malfunctions.
The unit must in any case be repaired by author-
ized skilled personnel.
•
A damaged mains cable must only be repaired by
the manufacturer or authorized skilled personnel.
•
Never pull the mains plug out of the mains socket
by means of the mains cable.
•
If the unit is used for purposes other than originally
intended, if it is operated in the wrong way or not
repaired by authorized skilled personnel, there is
no liability for possible damage.
•
For the cleaning only use a dry cloth for dust re-
moving, by no means chemicals or water.
•
Important for U.K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in ac-
cordance with the following code:
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal in the plug which is marked
with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the let-
ter L or coloured red.
7 STOP-TASTE
8 PITCH-TASTE, zur Tonhöhenänderung. Nach
Betätigung wird der Schieberegler (17) für die
Laufgeschwindigkeit wirksam. Für den Normal-
betrieb wird diese Taste nicht benötigt, für die
Standardtonhöhe darf die Pitch-LED nicht leuch-
ten. (Oder aber der Pitchregler muß auf der Mit-
telstellung '0' stehen.)
9 Anzeige für die Wiederholfunktionen
10 PROGRAMMIERTASTE, zum Einschalten der
Programmierung (siehe Kapitel 6 „Programmie-
rung") und der Zeitanzeige: Bei laufender oder in
Pause stehender CD kann durch Drücken dieser
Taste kurz die Anzahl und die Gesamtlänge aller
Stücke dieser CD angezeigt werden.
Bei in STOP stehender CD (z. B. direkt nach dem
Einlegen der CD) werden bei Drücken der Pro-
grammiertaste Anzahl und Gesamtlänge ständig
angezeigt. (Löschung durch Drücken der STOP-
Taste).

12 ANWAHLTASTEN für die einzelnen Titel der CD
Beim einmaligen Drücken der rechten (Vorwärts-)
Taste springt der CD-Spieler auf den Beginn des
nächsten Stückes, bei mehrmaligem Drücken
entsprechend immer weiter vor.
Beim einmaligen Drücken der linken (Rückwärts-)
Taste springt das Gerät auf den Beginn des
gerade laufenden (oder in Pause stehenden)
Titels. Die Anwahl des davorliegenden Stückes
muß durch zweimaliges Drücken der linken An-
wahltaste vorgenommen werden.
Bei mehrmaligen Drücken der Rückwärtstaste
werden immer früher liegende Titel erreicht.
13 Tasten für schnellen VOR- und RÜCKLAUF, bei
Gedrückhalten der rechten (Vorwärts-)Taste läuft
das Gerät bis zum Ende der CD schnell vor. Wird
jedoch 'programmiert' abgespielt, dann endet der
schnelle Vorlauf mit dem Ende des gerade lau-
fendem Stückes.
Entsprechend ist mit der Rücklauftaste beliebiger
Rücklauf, bzw. Rücklauf bis zum Beginn des aktu-

4 Multifunction display
5 PLAY/PAUSE button: To start playing a loaded
CD, to stop a playing CD for a pause. During a
pause any other track of the CD can be selected.
6 Play/Pause indicator
7 STOP button
8 PITCH button to adjust the pitch of a title by
changing the speed of a title. By depressing this
button, the pitch LED lights up, with the slide con-
trol (17) the speed is changed. For normal opera-
tion (standard pitch) this button is not necessary,
the LED must not light (or the slide control must
be in mid-position).
9 Repeat function indicator
10 PROGRAM button for programming (see chapter
6 "Programming") and time indication: When the
CD is in play or pause mode, by depressing this
button the number and the total length of all titles
of this CD are shortly displayed.
When the CD is in stop position (e. g. directly
after loading it), by depressing this button the
number and total length of titles are permanently
displayed (11). By depressing the STOP button,
this function is cancelled.
11 PROGRAM button indicator
12 SELECTOR buttons for individual titles of the CD.
Right (forward) selector button: Depressed once,
the CD player will advance to the beginning of the
next title. Depressed two or more times, the CD
player will advance accordingly.
Left (backward) selector button: Depressed once,
the CD player goes back to the beginning of the
actual title (playing or stopped for a pause).
Depressed twice, the previous title is selected.
Depressed three or more times for previous titles.
