Setting the maintenance and flushing intervals

The following procedure should be adopted to put the steam humidifier out of
operation:

1. If the steam cylinder is not to be emptied:
Press main switch <I/O> to switch off the steam humidifier.
If the steam cylinder is to be emptied (maintenance due):
Press pushbutton for drainage (the drain valve opens) and keep pressed. Then
press main switch <I/O> to switch off the humidifier. The drain valve remains
open and the steam cylinder empties.
Note: If the drain valve or drain pipe is blocked, the steam cylinder can also
be emptied via the drain hose.
2. Disconnect humidifier from the mains supply and secure against inadvertent
switching on (set all service switches to position "O" and lock switches in this
position).
3. Close filter valve.
The maintenance and flushing intervals are normally set when the humidifier is
installed. Alteration of the set values is therefore only necessary in exceptional
cases.
If alterations have to be made, please follow the instructions given in the separate
documentation on "Electrical installation" (red sheets).
