Appliance operation

Switch on the appliance
• Press the ON/OFF button.
Select the level (I, II or III) that corre-
sponds to the conditions of your room
(see technical data on page 21).
• When operating the appliance for the
first time, press the two "R" buttons
simultaneously for at least 3 seconds
(Reset function: see page 26).
Choose operation mode
• Purifying and humidifying
Ex factory or after a reset (see page 26)
the unit works in operation mode
"Purifying and humidifying":
After reaching the nominal humidity
the centrifuge stops and the fan contin-
ues running.
• Humidifying only
Pressing the fan keys "I" and "II" simul-
taneously for at least 3 seconds switch-
es the operation mode to "Humid-
ifying only": After reaching the
nominal humidity the centrifuge and
the fan stop simultaneously. Every 15
minutes the fan starts for 5 seconds to
prevent an accumulation of moisture in
the appliance.
Pressing the fan keys "II" and "III" simul-
taneously for at least 3 seconds switch-
es the operation mode back to "Purify-
ing and humidifying".
Read the relative humidity of the
room air (actual value)
• Press the rH% button.
Set reference value
We recommend a relative humidity of
45% for living areas.
• Press the plus button or the minus button
to increase or decrease the reference
value.
If the appliance has been out of service
for a considerable period of time, it takes
about 30 minutes before the exact value
of the room relative humidity can be dis-
played. The display is switched off when
the wheeled water carriage is removed.
After reactivation, the exact relative hu-
midity of the room is displayed after about
1 minute.
To lock the setting:
• Press these two buttons simultane-
ously for a minimum of 3 seconds.
Alle settings are locked (on/off
incl.). Unlock the setting in the
same manner.

The "water low" display blinks when
the PH14 is used as an air purifier
without water.
• The water low display can be
switched off by pressing these two
buttons simultaneously for at least
3 seconds.The display is again
ready for operation as soon as the
appliance is refilled with water.
