It is assumed in the description of the following work that the Defensor Mk4 steam
humidifier has been correctly installed and the installation inspected. It is also
assumed that the Defensor Mk4 has been correctly set.
Important! Data concerning installation work can be found in the separate
installation instructions (unit and steam installation (yellow), water installation (blue),
electrical installation (red) and in the technical documentation.
Keys
- This key is used to switch the steam humidifier on and off.
Note: The key lights when the unit is switched on.
- This key is used to empty the steam cylinder.
Signal lamps
Steam production indicator, green

This lamp lights when the humidifier is producing steam.
Fault indicator, red

- Continuously lit: internal fault in the unit (e.g. excess temperature switch
has operated in the steam cylinder).
- Flashes alternately with the steam production indicator: external fault
(e.g. external security chain broken)
Flashes at 2 second intervals: maintenance interval time expired.

Operating hours counter
Indication of total operating time in hours since commissioning.
Note: The "IT" type series steam humidifiers have an display unit with LCD-display
instead of an operating hours counter. Details can be found in the separate
documentation for the display unit.
