Replacing defective fuses

Work on the electrical installations must only be performed by authorised
personnel.

The printed circuit boards in the control unit contain electronic components,
which are sensitive to electrostatic discharges. Action must be taken to protect
these components from damage by electrostatic discharges during all repair
work (ESD protection).
Replacing fuse on control p.c.b.
• Put humidifier out of operation (see section 4.3).
Warning - Danger to Life! Ensure that the power supply to the main contactor
is disconnected (check with voltage tester).
• Unlock bottom cap with screwdriver and open bottom access door down.
• Replace fuse "F3" (type: 2 A, slow-acting) on control p.c.b.
• Close bottom access door and lock with screwdriver (turn 90° to right).
Replace fuses on power p.c.b.
• Put humidifier out of operation (see section 4.3).
Warning - Danger to Life! Ensure that the power supply to the main contactor
is disconnected (check with voltage tester).
• Unlock base cap with screwdriver and open bottom access door down.
• Remove safety cover.
• Replace fuses on power p.c.b.:
-
type 20 A/600 V, super-fast: for mains code 12 and 14
-
type 20 A/250 V, super-fast: for mains code 13, 15, 16, 17
Note: The mains code is specified on the nameplate of the unit.
Warning! Use fuses (20 A, super-fast) available as spare-parts from Defensor
exclusively for replacing the fuses on the power p.c.b. Use of other fuses is not
permitted and can result in danger to life and material.
• Mount safety cover.
• Close bottom access door and lock with screwdriver (turn 90° to right).
