11 Multiple mobile units
Up to three additional mobile units can be logged on to your base station. One mobile
unit can be logged on to up to three further base stations.
When you use multiple mobile units you will have the following options:
Internal calls between mobile units (see 11.1).
External calls can be forwarded between mobile units (see 11.2).
Conference calls between one external and two internal subscribers (see 11.3).
Room monitoring (see 6.2)
Walkie-talkie (see 6.3):
Incoming external calls are signalled on all mobile units.
Note: Mobile units from other manufacturers can be integrated into the telephone
system by means of the internationally adopted GAP standard. However, all functions
that are supported by the CD728 are only available in conjunction with a CD728 mobile
unit. In the same way, you can use a CD728 mobile unit on base stations from other
manufacturers, as long as these units work using the GAP standard.
Information for using the mobile unit on other base stations:
Due to the large number of different manufacturers, it is not possible to guarantee all the
functions when using the mobile unit on another base station. It is possible that not all
the functions supported by the CD728 mobile unit will be available.
Note: If another mobile unit is already using the external line, an appropriate message
will appear in the display. In this case, it is not possible to make a further external call.
11.1
Making an internal call
When you have connected multiple mobile units to a base station, you will be able to
make internal calls. To do this, press the
required mobile unit. You can also select the required mobile unit with the cursor and
make the connection with the OK display button. The call is accepted at the mobile unit
called with the call button
button.
Note: If an external call comes in while you are making an internal call, you will hear the
base station ringing and the caller's number will be shown in the display of the mobile
units, provided that caller display (CLIP) is available. End the internal call with the
button and accept the external call by means of the call button
the mobile units.
11.2
Connecting external calls to another mobile unit
If you have accepted an external call on one mobile unit, you can forward the external
call to another mobile unit. To do this, press the
required mobile unit. After the internal call has been accepted at the other mobile unit,
you have the following options:
A. Consultation: You can now speak to the internal subscriber. To return to the
external call, press the left display button twice (OPTIONS -> OUTSIDE CALL).
B. Forward the call: Press the OPTIONS display button. Select the TRANSFER
function and press the OK display button.
