Installation of the Socket and the Wire Lane
1.
Remove the coverings at the rear of the vehicle and at the rear lights as far as required.
2.
Drill a hole (Ø 19 mm) at a suitable position on the rear of the vehicle for the wire lane to the
socket.
Smooth off the edges of the hole and apply antifreeze.
Then pull the supplied rubber bushing over the wire lane, leading the wire lane through the
hole from the inside to the outside and seal the hole with the rubber bushing. Ensure that
everything is sitting properly.

Pull the socket seal onto the wire lane and connect the socket's contact support in the follow-
ing manner:
For a 7-pin socket:

For a 13-pin socket:

Then insert the contact holder in the outer housing and pull the surface seal onto the socket
housing.
4. Attach the socket with the accompanying screws to the socket retaining plate, while ensuring
that the seals are sitting properly.
5. Lay the wire set end with the white 12-pin plug, earth wires, and the yellow, gray/black wires
...to the left tail light.
Lay the gray/red, red/green and gray/yellow wires to the right tail light.
