11. Maintenance

Regularly check the technical safety of the code lock and the connected power supply,
e.g. for damage to the connection cables and the case.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible then the code lock or po-
wer supply must be taken out of operation and secured against accidental reactivation.
Pull the power plug out of the socket outlet !
Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible if:
• the code lock or the connection cable show visible signs of damage
• the code lock or the connected power supply no longer function
• the night vision device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of
time or
• it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport
Be absolutely sure to observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or
maintaining the code lock or a connected power supply:
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or components are
removed.
Therefore, disconnect the device from all voltage sources before performing
maintenance work or repairs.
Capacitors in the device may still be charged even after it has been discon-
nected from all power sources.
Repair work must always be carried out by a specialist familiar with the ha-
zards involved and with the relevant regulations.

12. Disposal

Old electronic devices are raw materials and should not be disposed of in
household waste. When the device has become unusable, dispose of it in ac-
cordance with the current statutory regulations at the communal collection
points.
Disposing of flat batteries in the household waste is prohibited.
