Application
The two−hand control unit serves for triggering a (synchronous) simultaneous control
signal via two push−button valves separately from each other.
This is to make sure that both hands of the operator are outside the danger area of
the machine when a control signal to start is enabled.
The product is a safety component as per the EU machine guideline. The two−hand
control unit ZSB−1/8 corresponds to type IIIA as per DIN EN 574 and category 1 as
per DIN EN 954−1.

Conditions of use
Note
Incorrect handling can lead to malfunctioning.
S Make sure that the specifications in this chapter are always observed.
The product will then function correctly.
Compare the maximum values in these operating instructions with your actual
S
application (e.g. pressures, temperatures).
Observe also national and local laws and regulations.
S
Use a service unit of the MS or D−series (Fig. 3) for preparing the compressed
S
air.
Take suitable measures to ensure the minimum pressure of 3 bar necessary for
S
operation.
e.g. a pressure sequence valve type VD−3−PK−3 (Fig. 3) is suitable here.
Please observe the prevailing ambient conditions.
S
Remove the packing except for the adhesive labels on the compressed air
S
connections (to prevent dirt from entering).
The packing is intended for recycling (except for: oiled paper = other waste).
