Compact PA System with Subwoofer
Please read these operating instructions carefully prior
to operation and keep them for later reference. All
operating elements and connections can be found on
the fold-out page 3.
1 Operating Elements and Connections
1 Balanced XLR feed-through outputs LINE OUT
LINK, connected in parallel to the INPUT jacks
(10), to connect further active speaker systems
2 Indicating LEDs
AMP. ON / PROT., lights up:
– green as an operating indication
– red when the protective circuit responds
a) for some seconds directly after switching
on, then it will change to green
b) permanently in case of a failure or defect of
the unit
SAT LIM.:
will light up when the limiter reduces the volume
of the satellite speakers if the maximum level
not yet distorted is exceeded
SUB LIM.:
will light up when the limiter reduces the volume
of the subwoofer if the maximum level not yet
distorted is exceeded
3 Volume control VOL
4 Button SURROUND: for activating the surround
sound function in case of stereo operation;
with the button pressed, the function is switched on
and the LED next to the button will light up
5 Control BALANCE for adjusting the volume ratio
between the satellite speakers and the subwoofer
6 Button STEREO for activating the stereo opera-
tion; for mono operation, unlock the button
7 POWER switch of the PA system
8 Mains jack for connection to a mains socket
(230 V~ / 50 Hz) via the supplied mains cable
9 Support for the mains fuse;
replace a burnt-out fuse by one of the same type
only
10 Balanced INPUT jacks (combined XLR / 6.3 mm
jacks) for connecting a unit with line output level
(e. g. MP3 / CD player, mixer)
11 Jacks SAT SPEAKER for connecting the satellite
speakers
12 RCA feed-through outputs LINK, connected in par-
allel to the RCA jacks INPUT (13)
13 RCA jacks INPUT, as an alternative to the XLR /
6.3 mm input jacks (10)

2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to all relevant directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with
WARNING The unit is supplied with hazardous
mains voltage (230 V~). Never make
any modification on the unit and do no
insert anything through the air vents,
otherwise you will risk an electric shock.

The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).

Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the unit,
e. g. a drinking glass.

The heat generated within the unit must be dissi-
pated by air circulation. Therefore, do not cover the
air vents.

Immediately disconnect the mains plug from the
mains socket
1. if the unit or the mains cable is visibly damaged,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.

Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the mains
plug from the socket, always seize the plug.

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
chemicals or water.

No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the unit is used for other purposes
than originally intended, if it is not correctly con-
nected or operated or if it is not repaired in an expert
way.
If the unit is to be put out of operation de -
finitively, take it to a local recycling plant for
a disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.
3 Applications
This compact PA system consists of a subwoofer sys-
tem with integrated 3-channel amplifier and satellite
speakers adjusted to it in an optimum way. It serves for
professional PA application of music at medium-sized
events and provides a maximum output power of
1200 W.
For transport, the satellite speakers and the corre-
sponding connection cables can be stowed in the sub-
woofer cabinet which is equipped with castors and
thus ideally suited for mobile applications.
