SYMBOLS
Nilfisk uses the symbols below to signal potentially
dangerous conditions.
Read this information carefully and take the necessary,
measures to protect personnel and property.
DANGER!
Is used to warn of immediate hazards that
will cause severe personal injury or death.
WARNING!
Is used to call attention to a situation that
could cause severe personal injury.
CAUTION!
Is used to call attention to a situation that
could cause minor personal injury or
damage to the machine or other property.
IMPORTANT WARNINGS!
Specific cautions and warnings are included
to warn you of potential danger of machine
damage or bodily harm.
WARNING!
The Nilfisk floor cleaning machine and the accessories
supplied by the Manufacturer are suitable for scrubbing
hard floors only.
The use of non-Nilfisk accessories may impair the safe
operation of the machine.
The voltage and frequency indicated on the name plate
must correspond to the mains voltage.
This machine should only be used by properly trained and
authorized persons.
Disconnect the power supply from the outlet when not in
use, before servicing, when changing the
brush/pad/padholder, and before opening any access
panels.
Do not use with damaged cord or plug.
If the appliance is not working as it should, has been
dropped, damaged, left outdoors or dropped into water,
return it to a service centre.
Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a
door on the cord, or pull the cord around sharp edges.
Do not run the appliance over the cord.
Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
Do not unplug by pulling the cord. To unplug, grasp the
plug, not the cord.
Do not handle the plug, cord or appliance with wet hands.
Turn off all controls before unplugging.
The connections of mains cables to extension cables must
at least be splash proof.

Always fit the mains plug to a correct socket connection.
Connect to a properly grounded outlet only.
Never work under a machine without safety blocks or
stands to support the machine.
Do not dispense flammable cleaning agents, operate the
machine on or near these agents, or operate in areas
where flammable liquids exist.
Do not clean this machine with a pressure washer.
Do not operate this machine on ramps or inclines of more
than a 2 percent gradient.
Do not insert any object into openings. Do not use with any
opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair and anything
that may reduce air flow.
Do not pick up anything that is burning or producing smoke
such as cigarettes, matches, hot ashes, or any health
endangering dusts.
CAUTION!
This machine is not approved for use on public streets or
roads.
When operating this machine, ensure that third parties,
particularly children, are not endangered.
Before performing any service function, carefully read all
instructions fur that function.
Take precautions to prevent hair, jewellery, or loose
clothing from becoming caught in moving parts.
Use caution when moving this machine in below freezing
temperature conditions. Any water in the solution or
recovery tanks or in the hose lines could freeze.
For repairs, use original spare parts only. The use of other
similar parts will automatically exclude the manufacturer's
liability.
When cleaning and servicing the machine, local or
national regulations may apply to the safe disposal of
liquids which may contain chemicals, grease, oil, acid,
alkalines or other dangerous liquids.
When disposing of old machines or machine components,
local or national regulations may apply to their safe
disposal.
WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance
with the following code:
–
BLUE-NEUTRAL
–
BROWN-LIVE
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings
identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
the wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the letter "N" or coloured
BLACK. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be
connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter
"L" or coloured RED. Neither wire is to be connected to the
earth terminal of a 3 pin plug. The earth terminal is marked
with the letter "E" or by the earth symbol (or coloured
GREEN or GREEN AND YELLOW).
