Thank you for choosing a
Peg-Pérego product.
Product characteristics
•
IMPORTANT: The "Belted Base" may be
used with the following car seats: PRIMO
VIAGGIO SIP, PRIMO VIAGGIO TRI-FIX, PRIMO
VIAGGIO TRI-FIX K, PRIMO VIAGGIO SL.
•
IMPORTANT: "Belted Base" (Group
0+) must be fitted facing opposite to the
direction in which the vehicle normally
travels, on seats without an airbag. Do
not install "Belted Base" on seats that face
backwards or sideways.
• Using "Belted Base" guarantees greater safety
and makes it easier to fit the car seat correctly.
• "Belted Base" is attached to the car with the
vehicle's seatbelt and can be left in the car
ready for the car seat to be fitted to it.
• The car seat can be fitted on the front seat, if it
does not have an AIRBAG, or on the vehicle rear
seat. The child's car seat must not be attached
to a car lap belt or a two point belt as they do
not secure the seat properly. The car seat can
only be attached to three-point seatbelts.
• The car seat can easily be attached to the
"Belted Base" thanks to the "Ganciomatic
System", which also allows you to attach the
car seat to Peg-Pérego strollers and chassis.
• The car seat (Group 0+), has passed all of the
safety and type-approval tests required by
European standard ECE R44/04, for children
weighing from 0-13 kg (0-12/14 months).
WARNING
• Read the instructions carefully before use
and keep them in the holder provided for
future reference. Failure to closely follow
the installation instructions for the car
seat will put your child at risk.
• The assembly and installation operations
must be conducted by adults.
• Avoid inserting fingers into the mechanisms.
• Install this group 0+ car seat base facing opposite
to the normal forward movement of the vehicle.
• Death or serious injury can result if this safety
seat base is installed on seats with airbags.
• Eliminate danger by disabling airbags
surrounding the position of the car safety seat.
• In the case of rotating or movable seats it is
important to install the car seat base facing
opposite to the normal forward movement of
the vehicle.
• When travelling take special care to make
sure that luggage or other objects do not
injure the child in the car seat in the case of
accidents.
• Do not use installation methods different
from those indicated. This would result in the
risk of detachment from the seat.
• Group 0+, "Universal" base for car seat, type
approved in accordance with European
standard ECE R44/04 for children weighing
from 0-13 kg (0-12/14 months). Suitable for
the majority of seats in vehicles, but not all.
• The car seat base can be correctly installed if
in the vehicle's use and maintenance manual
is stated that it is compatible with "Universal",
group 0+ holding systems.
• This car seat base is classified "Universal"
according to stricter type-approval criteria
than previous models which do not have a
type-approval label.
• This car seat base can only be used on
approved vehicles which have static or
inertia-reel three-point seatbelts and are
approved according to UN/ECE regulation
no.16 or equivalent standards. Two-point
belts or lap belts must not be used.
• To install the base with the car seat, pass
the vehicle's three-point seatbelt through
the appropriate fittings, which are light-blue
coloured. Do not use installation methods
which are different from those indicated as
there is a risk that the base could become
detached from the vehicle's seat.
• Make sure that the vehicle's three-point
seatbelt for attaching the base and the car
seat is always taut and not twisted. It should
be replaced if it undergoes excessive stress in
an accident.
• If you are unsure of anything, contact the
manufacturer or the retailer of this car seat.
• Do not remove the stickers; this could mean
that the product no longer conforms with the
standards.
